Water Pollution Control
Water bodies, from small ponds in city parks to large navigable rivers and lakes, are the most visible part of the urban water cycle. They are a visible indicator of the chemical and ecological quality of urban water. Our methods for assessing the condition of water bodies include direct on-site measurements using probes and sampling, as well as catchment studies and the use of satellite data. To investigate potential improvement measures, we use a range of numerical quality models to carry out statistical analyses.
Our research focuses on improving our understanding of water bodies and developing solutions for their sustainable management. We work closely with a range of partners to broaden our expertise and work together to apply our results in practice.
