Climate Protection/Adaptation
Water management plays both direct and indirect roles in greenhouse gas emissions. To identify opportunities for more climate friendly water management, we use the life cycle assessment methodology to analyse greenhouse gas emissions. This brings transparency to the discussion and enables companies to actively contribute to climate protection.
Climate change is already impacting on our cities: heavy rainfall causes more frequent flooding and water pollution, while periods of prolonged drought and heat are longer. In addition to technical adaptations, we investigate the potential of blue green infrastructure for making our cities more climate resilient. An important indicator we work with is the urban water balance.
Through innovative approaches and sustainable water management, we can combat climate change challenges and ensure to a more liveable environment for future generations.
